Alice: I noticed that, it was not exciting as I expected, but the music was great.I'm always found Jazz. And that movie had a lot of Jazz.
Paul: I know. However, Jazz always annoys me. I really don't enjoy music in a movie.
Alice: I'm sorry to hear that. What kind of movie do you like?
Paul: Anything with a lot of action, I like thrillers and chillers.
Alice: Oh, I see.

CONVERSATION 3: About city life and country life.
Ruth: Would you like to live in a big city?
Jack: I would rather live in the county than in a big city.
Jack: In the country the air is fresh and the water is clean. I can't stand city pollution, I hate it.
Ruth: The country is too quiet for me.I love the city's noise and excitement: all kinds of parks, parties, movies, concerts, museums and holiday parades. You name it, the city has it.
Jack: All the noise and excitement in city drive me nuts, I don't care for the city ‘s social life. Not at all.
Ruth: But cities have more opportunities. There're only a few good jobs in the country.
Jack:That's not always true. You can start an internet business anywhere.
Ruth: You're right about that.If you are educated, you can make money.Where there is a will, there is a way.
Jack: Absolutely,.To live a long life go and live in the country. You’ll drink a lot of fresh clean water. Your children will breathe fresh air. You’ll enjoy the simple and quiet life. You’ll spend more time with your husband and kids, and your neighbors will be friendier there.
Ruth: Jack, you are pretty convincing, except I don't have any children or a husband. But you could sell sand in a desert! You could sell ice Eskimos!
Jack: Been there. Done that!
Ruth: Ahh…! Where does your modesty come from?
Jack: Modesty?What's that?How could I sell that?
Ruth: Right, that's one thing you might have trouble selling.
Jack: Now,you know me! And to know me is to love me.
Ruth: Do you use that line often?
CONVERSATION 4: Man-killer skirt.
Ruth: I love that red man-killer skirt of yours. You looked wonderful last night. That red looked so nice on you.You should wear that color more often.
Beth: Thanks Ruth. I'm glad that you like it.But I'm not too happy with that skirt.
Beth: My sister gave it to me as
a birthday gift. The color is great but the style is not me. I prefer a long skirt to a short one.
Ruth:But this skirt is really attractive. And it goes well with your long blond hair and your lovely legs. Last night when you entered the room, all the men stared at you.You were the center of attention.
Beth: That is exactly what I hate.My sister always wears thong bikini. She loves skimpy clothing. That man-killer skirt is perfect for her.She loves being the center of attention. Men love her and she loves to flirt and get men excited. But why should I cause men to have heart attacks.
Ruth: I don't buy it.Why did you wear last night? You do like your man-killer skirt. Last night you enjoyed yourself. It is good to be young and healthy. You can show off your body a little. If you didn't like the skirt, you would not have put it on last night. Are you a little jealous of your sister?
Beth: Do you read minds?
Ruth: No. But I'm not blind. You worked real hard in school. You are now a teacher. You make good money. Now you need an excellent husband! A little advertising can help, as long as it doesn't scare off the good guys.
Beth: But what if a man is only notices my body? I want to be loved for my brains and personality, not just for my body.
Ruth: Don't worry about it.You can recognize the playboys.Just take your time. Don't be in a hurry to get a boyfriend. But you do need to go out more.
